Work

This week I have been lucky enough to be working nearly everyday!

starting off with a behind-the-scenes picture from our shoot for Ballad Of magazine (I'm the one on the right!). It was in Kent, so I had a trek down there in the morning and then met everybody. I'm never really sure what to expect with editorial shoots as sometimes everybody is lovely, sometimes theres food, sometimes the clothes are fantastic.. and sometimes they are all not. Luckily, this shoot was really lovely! Everybody was super talented, and really nice. They were all starting out so all wanted to get good pictures! It was the photographer's first editorial shoot and she took some really great pictures. Her mum fed us all really cute sandwiches and crisps! :')

On Sunday I had a loong day working for Tyla Blade S/S 14, her look book. This was on a completely different level in terms of experience and how hard I had to work! we did about 40 outfits all together, after ten hours on set! Luckily there were lots of Marks & Spencer cookies to keep us going, and the clothes were amazing.

On Tuesday I was lucky enough to be selected to be a model for a photographer called Lara Jade's photography workshop! It was a really fun day, set in an old spice factory in Greenwich with completely amazing rooms and props! Everyone was really nice and there were two other models there to hang out with so we didn't get bored! We got there at 8.30 am and didn't work until 2pm! So not too hard of a day ;)

Eliza, me and Ida :)

Then a couple of days ago I had a hair and make up test, which was really quick and easy so it was great! These are the best because you are basically being made up to look pretty :') then taking a picture and redoing it!

Today I have a fitting for Erdem - though I'm not entirely sure what a fitting consists of so I suppose I will find out! :)

Saatchi Saturday

I am moving back to East London in a matter of weeks, so this has motivated me to go and explore the area I currently live in a bit more! I am living in Gloucester Road now with my boyfriend, and it is amaaazing. Amazing to walk down the street on your phone without fear of being mugged, being so central, always having someone there to listen to your days and give you a hug, right next to my best friend. Unfortunately uni is in the East so I will have to downgrade for another year!

We went to the market in Duke of York Square and decided to try out the 'best sandwich in Chelsea' - it did not disappoint!

For £5.50 each we decided to be greedy and get two, and hid around the back stuffing our faces - it was GOOD. In an attempt to burn off calories/be cultural and productive we wandered into the Saatchi Gallery.

I like the Saatchi Gallery as they update their collections quite regularly, so there is always something new to see - and there are around six or seven different galleries so it is really diverse. Best of all, it is free! As always, there is completely random art which I probably could have done at home but there was also some really cool exhibits such at this:

made completely out of kites!

and the 'abstract'..

(thrilling - there were three giant canvases dedicated to this art)

My favourite was the Hugo Boss Red exhibition they currently have on, as it is more interactive than the rest. There was a projector shining light and shadows over a wall, which we played in for ages!

and a giant red completely random dome, with no identifiable point other than ruining your hair whilst trying to get into it!

Would definitely recommend a visit to both the gallery and market, it was an amazing day!

Country Break

Last week was my best friend Katherine's birthday, and she lives in a tiny village on the outskirts of Sailsbury (the smallest town in England!) so we all made our way down there to celebrate her turning 20. She was having a 'tea party', or in other words, a giant food feast!

she made all of the above, which was super impressive as it was all amazing (and I ate far more than my fair share!)

Flat 23 (from university halls) reunited!

Luckily she has a trampoline, so we managed to burn off probably the equivalent calories of a single lemon meringue cupcake on it (better than nothing right?)

some couldn't take the cake sloshing around... unlike me

The next day we went for a long country walk, which was amazing in comparison to being in London for so long! And we finished it off by coming back to Katherine's and picking blackberries from her (insanely amazing) garden.

Amazing party, the best kind, centered around food with your best friends :)
