Nutribullet

I have a new obsession to tell you about. This week, I received a Nutribullet after having heard about how amazing they are from everyone I know. I wasn't convinced - they seemed like overpriced food processors. How wrong I was.

The Nutribullet blasts (literally) every other food gadget out of the kitchen! I normally leave the gadgetery to Dima, as he loves it, but I've found myself using this often more than once a day. It comes with two blades, both super high powered.

One makes smoothies, juices etc and the other blade is a milling one - it can grind up anything! This is great for making nut butters/flours etc and especially cauliflower rice, which I am a massive fan of. It's faster and stronger than your regular blender, my boyfriend loves me a lot for bringing it in to our lives!

Grinded carrot - takes under 30 seconds!

Easy to use, you just pop in whatever takes your fancy, along with some liquid (water, coconut water and almond milk are my favourites) and press down to watch the magic! I also love that you can just pop off the cup and attach the handle, (there are 3 different cups) with minimal washing up!

Great for on the go breakfasts - I took this one to my other new obsession - Skinny Bitch Collective classes. They start at 6.45am so it's good to just grab something and go!

For breakfast I normally blend up some almond milk, porridge oats (30g), banana, blueberries, coconut, goji berries, strawberries and cinammon. Amazing.

And for post-exercise recovery I've been blitzing up spinach, cucumber, an apple and some ginger for a super low calorie, healthy boost.

Insanely amazing - I feel so much better already after taking these!

Hunger Party

Remember my last post on my elastic band shoot? To add to it's awesomeness, Hunger throws the best party in London twice a year to launch it's two issues. Everybody in the industry goes to the parties, and no expense is spared to ensure it is the most talked about event of the year. They also cleverly coincide with fashion week (February & September) so that everyone is in town, with fashion fever.

I was lucky enough to go last year, and again this year. It was at the stunning W Hotel, which is the perfect place for an event like this. Just check out their secret club room - the Wyld bar!

I came straight from my Paul Costelloe show so had huge hair - fashion statement!

The cocktails were flowing, as were the free burgers - instantly making it the best party ever. Perfect post catwalk food.
Note my weird nail varnish from the show - next year's trends!

And some other beauties were there too..

.. Sarah & Phoebe (from Profile too). Together we celebrity spotted and vaguely stalked, before hitting jackpot -

When I met the beautiful Lindsay Lohan!! I casually struck up a conversation by pointing out my elastic-band-wrapped-face in Hunger Magazine and she thought it was really cool and asked me for a picture!

It was insanely difficult to not start babbling Mean Girls quotes at her like a huge-haired-lunatic. Somehow I just managed to tell her she is really pretty ('thanks! oh, so you think you're really pretty?') and that I love her ('It's not my fault that you're like obsessed with me or something!') and then run away ('You go Glen Coco!'). Sorry, couldn't help it.

Anyway, it was definitely the coolest party I've been to this year! Everyone was there from the beautiful Erin O'Connor..

To Millie Mackintosh and Nina Nesbitt. We also got way overexcited in the photobooth..

.. like, really overexcited.

Leaving us all hungry for the next one!

Hunger Magazine - do not try this at home!

The new issue of Hunger Magazine features my face, looking at it's finest wrapped up in elastic bands. If you are not in the fashion industry, you're probably wondering if you've come onto the wrong sort of page - if you are then you will be (maybe) thinking that is pretty cool.

Starting off relatively normal - how awesome is this hair?!
To be in Hunger is a big thing - it's a rebellious, fashion bible by world famous photographer Rankin. He is amazingly talented, even with elastic bands wrapped around my face I still absolutely love his pictures and his work is so original.

With  make up (and elastic band putting on) by the also very talented Andrew Gallimore, and hair by the amazing Amiee Hershan we actually looked.. not as bad as I would look if I'd done it at home.

Modeling - glamorous, right?

There were 4 other models there, and we all looked SO hilarious that we kept bursting out laughing at each other, ruining our beautiful elastic bands in the process.

The point of it was originally to take photographs of the indentations left on our faces by these elastic bands, so we each had to have them on for half an hour! And of course, they ended up using the pictures with us still in the bands. I actually really loved the indentation pictures, Rankin took some amazing shots..

But of course nothing can beat this -

Definitely one of the weirdest shoots I've done, but also one of the best - when you are working with such talented people it makes such a huge difference and reminds me why I love this job.

And it got Lindsay Lohan's stamp of approval!

Don't try this at home - it hurts! This issue is brilliantly named 'We've Got Issues' and is available nationwide.
